Basic Training II - Your first planning!
Seminar Standards Interior Lighting
Standards and planning principles
________
This 4h course familiarizes you with actual indoor standards (norms). You will further learn to approach a planning problem in a professional way be starting with conceptual work followed by a first calculation by hand.
_______
A successful lighting designer/engineer never begins a lighting design or renovation project directly on a computer. Instead, they first familiarize themselves with the conceptual framework, such as the building, architecture, planning objectives, and the needs of the final users. However, it is also important to be familiar with the current status of the relevant interior lighting standards, such as EN 12464 Parts 1 and 2, because standards are an important planning basis. The four-hour course covers the following topics in detail:
- People & Light – Market Trends
- Read standards correctly, including the current version 12464-1,2 and ASR 3.4 as well as ASR 2.3 / EN 1838 (emergency lighting)
- Zoning of rooms
- Lighting planning using the efficiency method (rough planning)
- Practical examples from the everyday life of lighting users and planners: lighting and LED solutions for offices and industry, as well as retail spaces.
